I believe that someone said something on a topic related to this once, if only I could remember how it went… oh, right, like this:

“I’m a model, you know what I mean,
And I do my little turn on the catwalk,
Yeah, on the catwalk, on the catwalk yeah,
I shake my little touche on the catwalk.”

Again, I have used Warrior Bodies as a chassis for impromptu Immortals, as the actual Immortal body went to the Deathmarks.  For five of my ten Gauss Immortals, I sliced a leg off at the hip and re-attached it at a new angel.  Not only does this make the legs actually have a stance that fits on the freaking base, it as yields far more dynamic poses.

Project Status Update

Scarabs: Done (17 bases made out of 1/2” and 3/8” carpentry buttons)
Night Scythe: Done - for the moment (Portal and Death Ray magnetized, might add green stuff flame and smoke to it at a later date)
Crypteks: Done - for the moment (currently have 5 at my disposal, will make more if need be)
Triarch Stalker: Done (Choice of Twin Linked Heavy Gauss Cannon and Heat Ray magnetized, front two legs magnetized)
Deathmarks: 7/10 completed, with no pressing need to build the remaining 3.
Immortals: 10/10 Tesla, 0/10 Gauss.  Gauss is moving up in priority due to presence of a Night Scythe.

Currently at the work station:

Wraiths:  Having received my out of production Necron Wraith from eBay, I now have proper scale to work off of for custom creation.  Somewhat smaller than I was imagining, actually.  I am currently waiting for the glue to dry on the bases I am making for them, using three layers of ripped up cork board to make rocky outcroppings.  Not only does this serve to make the base more appealing, but it will come in quite handy when it comes time to attach the model.  I am going to use heavy gauge florist wire as the core of the “spinal tail”, and I am going to leave a bit of it exposed at the end of the model so that I can stab it into the cork board to hold the model upright.  If anyone asks, they’re just phasing up through the ground, ‘cause Wraiths.  The last thing I need to grab for these guys are some Tyranid bits, namely either the claws from Hormaguants or Scything Talons from Genesteelers.  For the pistol Wraiths, I figure a modified Gauss Flayer arm from a Warrior would work well.
